Jenna Schafer - Professional Counseling Intern
Jenna is currently a student working to obtain a Master's degree in Professional Counseling, with an emphasis in Community Counseling, at UW-Oshkosh and is completing her second and final internship at the Housing Partnership. Jenna received her Bachelor's degree from UW-Green Bay, double majoring in Psychology and Human Development. Jenna has had many experiences working, interning, and volunteering in a variety of community and mental health settings, but holds a special interest in working with children. Jenna works in conjunction with the supportive staff team by offering personal counseling, under supervision, to the families served by the Housing Partnership. Jenna strives to support the mental health needs of these individuals, with the intentions of helping to facilitate the goal of self-sufficiency and overall well-being.

Micah Price
Micah is a recent student intern, and will be here for the 2011-2012 academic year. He is currently a junior at Lawrence University, studying with a major in physics and a music minor. Micah's internship includes connecting the Housing Partnership to other non-profits around the Appleton area to increase collaboration efforts and helping with the development of new programs within the Housing Partnership.

Chuck Demler - Wisconsin Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA
AmeriCorps*VISTA fights to end poverty in the United States and the Wisconsin Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA program develops the capacities of colleges and universities to join in on this fight. Housing Partnership and Lawrence University have partnered to offer a one-year public service position in Appleton through the Wisconsin Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA program strengthening affordable housing programs through Lawrence's students and faculty. Chuck is excited to be the f irst to join in on the fight against poverty in this position.

Chuck graduated from Lawrence in June of 2011. He majored in Government, worked on just about every volunteer effort at Lawrence during his four years at Lawrence, and was employed in Lawrence's Volunteer and Community Service Center for two years. As an AmeriCorps*VISTA, Chuck splits his time between Lawrence's community service offices and the Housing Partnership. At Lawrence, he develops service learning initiatives and events for
students and faculty . Chuck spends his time at Housing Partnership exploring connections and opportunites for Lawrence students with affordable housing projects. He does research about affordable housing and the benefits that affordable housing programs bring to clients and the community.

Jean Meissner - Professional Counseling Intern
Jean has her Bachelor's Degree from UWGB in Studio Arts with an Emphasis in Sculpture and Textiles. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in the Professional Counseling Program at UW-O and plan to graduate in May 2012. She is also currently taking classes at Fox Valley Technical College for a Certificate in the AODA (Addictions) Program. With HPFC, she works with clients to identify relaxation techniques to deal with stress and trauma and to help people realize their potential so they can better temselves.
