Work Site Volunteers
The Housing Partnership is able to provide affordable housing to low income and homeless families in the Fox Cities because of the generous support of our volunteer rehab crews who rejuvenate our units to make them ready for new tenants. Duties may include painting, repairing, cleaning, landscaping, basic electrical and plumbing work, snow removal, drywall, carpeting, cabinetry and everything else necessary to make each unit a better home for a family in need.
Those with construction experience are welcome but no experience is necessary; we have many volunteers who learn as they go. Our friendly, knowledgeable project staff will provide any training as well as tools and safety equipment. If you are enjoy a wide variety of hands-on tasks, this is for you!
Volunteer Work Groups: Work days for groups of approximately 5-15 people can be scheduled with about one month's notice. This is an excellent team-building opportunity for school, church, civic or corporate groups. Call up to see what our work schedule looks like - we do have Saturday availability.
Honorary Crew (pictured above): This team meets Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays during the day to maintain our units, rejuvenate units between tenants, fix up newly acquired properties, and oversee the warehouse.
Thursday “Make Ready” Team: We need at least 3-5 volunteers to join our newest team which is dedicated to turning units around so that we can get families moved in as soon as possible. After one family moves out, we need to clean, paint, and generally spruce up the unit to make it homey and fresh for the next family.
